Ussing & Bech are custom rod builders and blank distributors for the innovative Auckland based rod company CTS.
With an eye for design improvements and a high technology level, this young company has surprised the fly fishing world with radical new fly rods. The range of blanks from CTS span from vintage type rods for the lightest of lines to powerful rods designed for the biggest fish in the ocean.
We can provide you with blank and fittigs for your next DIY projekt - or make a custom build for you.

CTS only produce blanks - but as experienced custom rod builders, we at Ussing & Bech would be happy to help you select your next fly rod - and even build it to your specifications.
Prices: Depending on fittings and whether you want to include rod sock and tube. We charge 1000 Danish kroner (app. 135 €) plus materials for a custom build. With standard length blanks in 4-7 weights this means that a custom build rod would cost between 460 and 570 €.

Blanks
The number of blanks produced by CTS is beyond imagination. We stock a small selection of Affinity X and Affinity MX blanks in the post popular weights for Scandinavian trout fishing - but we will supply customers with any blank they desire.

Affinity X blanks
The Affinity X is a fast and powerful high performance rod for both freshwater and saltwater. With a light tip and a powerful bottom this blank has the ability to handle short and delicate cast and plenty of backbone for distance casting.
CTS has shaved every last ounce off this blank without compromising strength. A great saltwater series.
We stock Affinity X in 9 feet, 4 piece versions in matte carbon finish.
